The last stage of the Inquiry process is Taking Action. For our 'Who are our neighbours' topic Room 6 decided that we would take up Mrs Woods suggestion of buying something and bringing it to school to put in our Christmas Child care package. This will be sent over to under-privileged children who have never received a Christmas gift before.
We had a great response and even had to get Mrs Wood to give us three boxes. We decided to give to a girl between 5-8yrs old.
I was impressed with the response and we thought it was a FANTASTIC way to conclude our topic. Thanks to all parents who supported this!
Thanks Mrs Wood!

Ava's mum came to our class. She showed us her grandmothers 100 years Old doll. First we got to pass the doll around. It was cool. listening to peoples ideas on how they thought it moved. After Ava's mum drawed on the board a picture of the inside and the outside of the doll. The doll was very special in how it was 100 years old. It moved by winding up a key. Thank you for bringing it to school to share with us.

I was so impressed with the response to our Taking Action Christmas Child boxes. THANK YOU!!!
The children really thought about the needs of others in a different situation to themselves. This is a wonderful quality Room 6. I am proud of you all.

Ava's Mum came to talk about a toy that has been around for hundred years. We learnt about the mechanics of the doll.
