Ruffles - Our Visitor!! Alliteration Homework
As part of our classroom rewards we get to choose a card out of our special box, sometimes people choose to bring a pet to school.
As you can see Lydia bought her dog Ruffles to school and the class adored having him. We were lucky that Lydia's Mum Jo bought him in, Mrs C-B thought he could come in a dog carrier - I think he was too big!!!!!!
Thank you Lydia and Jo for sharing Ruffles with us.
Room 6 write an acrostic poem or alliteration about Ruffles in your comment.

Holiday Poetry!
Splash into the water seconds after I’d left the board.
The ice cream creamy and icy, ice cream tastes best in Wanaka.
I smell the smoke filling the air, while lighting the fire to be snugly and warm.
Zooming to an exciting movie, Ironman fighting villians on the screen.
The sound of skittles falling as my ball thumped into them.
By Andrew, Angus, Amy, Jacob and Alisha
I smell the popcorn and the lollies in the air. I snuggled into my comfy chair and jumped in fright when the goblins came.
I saw something amazing with the smell of popcorn, its patterns were amazing.
Ouch! I feel the chlorine in my eyes. Bang! I hurt my head.
Zoom! Round the corner, real cool bro! My helmet on my head made my ears sweat and the motor roaring like mad.
The popcorn crunching in my mouth as Ironman fought Ironmonger.
By Mason, William, Mitchell, Madeline and Tayna
Small and cuddly, soft against my knee. Curly and cute, I pat him with my hand.
Hot, hot, hot! It’s so hot here in the land of the kangaroo.
I went zooming into the pool.
The breezey wind whipped my hair back as I zoomed down the spiky slide.
Popping popcorn loud to my ears, and strong in my nose.
By Jacob, Petra, Hamish, Hannah and Lydia
I went zooming down the slide with my arms and legs flying in the air.
Smelling chlorine, Kayla and I whooshed down the watery tunnel.
I was sitting in comfy seats with the smell of butter in my nose laughing as Nim’s father fell off his boat.
Big elephant hears something, I giggle as I watch it.
Under blankets, controller in my hand, expelliarmus!
By Caleb, Tyler, Matthew, Abby and Tanelle
Swimming in water, coldness on my feet. Splashing and whizzing round and round.
Nice cheese smell in the tavern, as we choose off the menu.
The ice cream melting in my mouth as I sit in my big seat in the dark.
I smell a creamy smell, it fills all my nostrils.
Me and Chanelle played Bratz and they go on holiday as we play away.

WELCOME TO TERM 2!
Welcome to Term 2 of Room 6 2008!
We are going to be doing a production this term and we are very excited about it. It is called "The night at the Library". We have been doing an inquiry on it since the end of Term 1 where we have chosen our performance piece and selected music. The children have come up with wonderful ideas and are going to be performing with Room 5.
Our Inquiry topic is ‘All the world’s a stage - we are merely players’.
What do you think that means Room 6?
Leave a comment and tell me.
Here we are in the paper last term, I was so proud of you all!!
