Happy Easter!!

Happy Easter Room 14. I hope that you all have a great holiday. I am looking forward to lots of fun times with my family. We are off to Wanaka on Friday, I can't wait as I love the Wanaka scenery at Easter time with the change of seasons.

I have really enjoyed this term and getting to know you all and your unique qualities that you bring to our classroom.

Remember if we stand strong for what we believe in and respect others and their views our Mana will increase. Our classroom will also be a nicer, more pleasant place.

Individuality - Room 14 Parade!

Room 14 performed in assembly on Friday the 12th of March 2010. The theme was based around our inquiry topic called “Me, me, me”. They sang the song individuality and paraded in their chosen outfits in the hall. Each child came along dressed in something that makes them unique.

It was an awesome way to show that we while we are people we all have hidden talents, hobbies and interests that make us truly unique.

Hedgy our class Buddy!

This is Hedgy and Mitchell.

Hedgy is our class buddy, we pass Hedgy around when we see people doing nice things in our class room. Hedgy likes to be a friend to our class and Hedgy loves holidays. Did you know Hedgy has been on a trip to Australia with Chanelle a couple of years ago? If you look way back on our blog you will find photo's of that particular holiday.

Mitchell decided Hedgy would like to sit in his motor bike helmet that he wore for our individuality assembly item with Room 15.

Drama News on Mondays!!

"Ready, Camera, Action" says Dallas

On Monday's we do Drama News. It is so much fun, here you can see each group making a sculpture shape about their weekend news. You can see that

Dallas is watching TV, Shanae is riding a bike and Ryan is running in his athletics race

It is such a great way to start the week off and we are not even shy any more about performing it to each other. We have a leader each week and they tap our shoulder and say "spoken thoughts" and that is when we are allowed to speak (whilst we are frozen just like a clay sculpture).
