On Thursday night our year 3's and some year 4's from Room 9 got to spend the night in the Otago Museum. It was loads of fun with Pizza, night time walks around the museum and lots of time to play in Discovery World. We got to sleep anywhere we wanted to in Discovery World, except in the tunnel, on or under the air hockey table.
Here is a picture of Mrs CB serving up pizza, it was yummy!
Our Year 2's were a bit too young to go to the museum, so they had a fish & chip night at one of our kind parent's house, they even had a chocolate fountain!
We got to be detectives and had to find clues and find out who the criminal was, we had to go into a dark room and look at evidence.
We had to use only newspaper and make up a costume, flag, and a song about the country 
we had chosen in the People of the World Gallery. We had five countries to chose from; Japan, Greece, Egypt, Australia and the Congo. Here is a picture of one of our fabulous creations.
We enjoyed learning about the Egyptian Mummy and all of the gory details about the mummification process.

It was fun sleeping over and dressing up. My favourite part was playing in Discovery World. I hope everyone had a great time at camp, I sure did!

We had a chocolate fountain and we got to have fish and chips. My favourite bit was running and chasing one of the big brothers who came along. I had an awesome time.

It was great on our camp, we got to sleep in Discovery World. I liked it when we got to have tea because it was yummy, and when we got to go to bed. I slept next to the fire engine and Jack.

I liked when we turned the lights off and played in the dark on our fish and chip night. I also liked the chocolate fountain and we ate it! It was at my house and it was my Mums idea.

I liked playing in Discovery World and going for the night walk to the Animal Attic. I waved to the camera on the way. I slept next to the dark tunnel and fish tank. My favourite part was playing on the fire engine.

I liked the pizza and the night walk. My favourite part was when we got to dress up in Newspaper, I was the model. Our country was Japan. The freeze photo thing in Discovery World was cool!
I liked when we got to go for the night walk in the pitch black!! I liked how the teacher gave us a clue about the black boots, like the ones she was wearing, and then she showed us the trophy. I got to sleep next to my mum and Mrs C.B. I also liked when we got to have heaps of time to play in discovery world. I liked it when we went to animal attic.
It was fun sleeping in Discovery World. I slept beside Hamish and Billie and Danny. I couldn't sleep because some of the girls were talking and giggling. My favourite part was the night walk to the animal attic. I just got a little bit scared. It was fun with Dad coming with me. He told me about a lot of the things we saw. The pizza's were great. We had meatlovers, vegetarian and hawaian.
Great to hear everyone had a great night at the museum and the year 2 children enjoyed there fish and chip night. Well done to everyone.

Tayler, Caitlin and Abbey said we really enjoyed having Daddy come on our sleep over camp. It was heaps of fun exploring the different games and activities in Discovery World. We also liked when we had to do the experiment to find out who stole the trophey and finding out it was the lady who was taking us. It was really cool after 5.00 when we had the museum all to ourselves.

I really enjoyed the night walk because it was really dark.I enjoyed playing in discovery world .I liked all the activities and the lolly pop girl displays.
The sleep over at the museum was lots of fun, i enjoyed being one of the parent help, i was very impressed with the fantastic behaviour of all the children :)

and a blue whale's eye".Next we went to the
boat museum "when the lights go off the big boat
makes a sound like it was sailng the seven seas".And last
