For homework Room 6 had to interview our parents about:
1. What they think a Super Hero is?
2. What Super Heroes did your parents know of when they were your age?

Great Grandma - A sports person.
Great Aunty Denise - Someone who can fly.
Great Grandad - Someone who sets out to save the world.
Dad - Someone who helps people.
Mum - A Super person who helps people.

Great Grandma - She did not know any.
Aunty Denise - Tarzan.
Great Grandad - Boys own hero's.
Dad - Lots and lots and lots, Spider man, Bat man.
Mum - Incredible Hulk.

Hero's are amongst us every day. They are people who have done something extraordinary to help others without wanting to be thanked. A self less act.
A Super Hero is all of those things combined with extra super skills like being able to fly, run extra fast or being extra strong.

Super hero's Mum knew when she was small include Super man and Wonder Woman.

Mum - Someone who is kind, considerate, helps others, confident, gentle and patient.

Mum -A man I called Grandad Orr (not my real Grandad). He was my 'adoptive Grandad', he taught me to milk cows, raise orphan lambs and climb big haystacks looking for hens eggs. Guess What? My Super Hero didn't have tights or a cape.
You can see that all of these answers are similar in some ways.

I don't think they have to because Bionic Man doesn't and Spiderman, The Incredibles and Flash don't have capes. I think superheroes are better without capes because when they are flying they could get caught up in a jumbo jet engine. Caleb
I don't think they should have to wear tights and a cape because tights look funny on guys- I wouldn't wear any!!! Capes just get in the way when you are trying to rescue people and could catch on fire easily if you are in a burning building. Tyler
Batman wears a cape so he looks like a bat. Like wings so he can fly. Spiderman does not have a cape. Spiders are not meant to fly. Tights help them move faster.

I don't think super heros should have to wear tights because they might not be comfortable and capes might fly in their faces while they are trying to rescue someone.

No you dont have to wear a cape and tights. Its just your choice. Sometimes girl superheros might have to. Alisha
