There is a huge difference between North and South Korea's economy. North Korea is a very poor country. Many people in North Korea starve to death. Also the government is controlling the economy.
South Korea is a democratic country that means the public get to vote. It has evolved into a heavily industrialised country.
The standard of living is great by world standards and the people are well fed and there is stability.
North Korea
North Korea is a communist country, that means that the public do not get a vote of who will be prime minister and who will be in parliament. It is ruled by Kim Jong IL who took over from his father since he died.
The country has as isolation policy. The country is run by a socialist dictator. A personality cult is being generated by the state media around President Kim. North Korea is currently building nuclear weapons capabilities which are causing anxiety on the Peninsula.
The roads are almost unusable and there has been some small uprising in some areas.

I thought that we could either skype a school in south Korea and a sperate one in north Korea, pen pals or maybe use face book. something like that.
